TIME:  2.30 for 3.00 pm. start
HARE:             ETHANOL 

DIRECTIONS:  The trail will start and finish at the Rugby Stadium Car Park. Watch for blue ‘P’-sign on the right, on D27 (direction Simorre) just 250m from centre of Masseube, off D929.   There will also be a white ‘H’ .. if the Hare remembers. 

AFTERWARDS:   chez: FRUIT MACHINE & PISSOLES for: CIRCLE, followed by mini-BARBECUE and maxi-BONFIRE.
The Hash will provide sausages for the barbecue. Bring anything else you like and/or salad or pudding.

DIRECTIONS:  ST LOUP de COMMINGES is reached via Boulogne-sur-Gesse or Castelnau-Magnoac.  From the Castelnau roundabout (D929), take D632, direction Boulogne, then shortly turn rt. onto D32 via Pouy to St Loup.  HEDGEHOCK’s house is next to the church.

If you’d like to hang around for a snack, after the Circle, there is a barbecue available, so bring something you like and/or salad or pudding.

    An idyllic run/walk through quiet woodland – one drinks stop –  no mountains – promise! 
                 
DIRECTIONS: Hotel Pyrenées is in the centre of SEISSAN, on D929, 16 km south of Auch, 8 km north of Masseube.    We shall return to Hotel Pyrenées for Circle and optional tasty snacks.

Having gathered a quorum of worthies……… special guest Doggy( and Hedgehock's canine accessory) more or less on time at the recently renovated Chateau Relax, Castelnau Magnoac  Lady Doo-dah and followers sallied forth on a live hash in search of the trail, fleeting sunshine and a bucolic meander into neighbouring valleys. The sun shone wanly , the clouds scudded breezily, the birds sang chirpily, the insects buzzed whirringly and Lady Doo-dah nattered knowingly about the doings of the local peasantry while the knitting club were lost in their own nature walk.
  All was fine and pleasant  as we hacked and tacked across meadow, ditch and mire until we surmounted a bohm and there encountered a serious obstruction in the shape of a plastic-duck shooter outraged that we should be marching towards his pond and intent on defending his realm. Lady Doo-dah remonstrated with and attempted to deviate from this irate obstruction and attempted to plough on regardless, but he was armed, drunk and driving an all-terrain vehicle and inevitably after some nerve-wracking moments of stand-off our retreat was ordered, in fact rather disordered as we stumbled backwards through ditch and brush until we had dropped out of his sights and could re-set our sights on the more calming prospect of the hash halt and drink stop a bosky dale or two away...
  It was a steep and lengthy climb back to Chateau Relax and its now resplendent pizza piazza where we wound down in required circular fashion and in between imbibing and ingesting resolved various important issues and to meet again sometime before the harvest moon , but without venturing anywhere near Godzilla the Gascon...:-)   OnOn Goin’ ‘Rong

15 Hashers attended, what can only be described as an unconventional Hash!
One of the two Hares greeted us in the busy village centre amidst a vide grenier; luckily no-ones boots were sold before the walk.  We then drove a complete Hash in convoy, only to discover that when we finally stopped, we had yet another Hash to do on foot!
The absent Hare had left us with a sketchy map (it turns out that Hashers CANNOT read maps!), a couple of cryptic clues (it turns out that Hashers ARE NOT cryptically wired!) and no flour to follow 
(it seems that Hashers NEED flour!).  There was however, an incentive - to find chocolate eggs hanging in trees (it seems that Hashers LOVE chocolate!).  So by a miracle of milk, cocoa and sugar, we found our
 way around the route.  The second hasher popped up part way round (near chocolate!) and we enjoyed the lovely countryside of the mid-northern Gers. 
We then completed a third Hash ‘en voiture’ and arrived back at the Hares house where we actually had a circle.  Lots of down-downs- were given, mostly to the ‘3 French virgins and 2 turtle doves’ who committed the usual misdemeanours of pointing, not using Hash names, using mobiles and having a pee.
AIRHEAD received his habitual down-down, this time for starting and not finishing!  The Hares are still owed one for refusing to leave the kitchen to have a down-down.  We ate a fab. spread of pork, potatoes, salads, crepes and yet another of GOODY SHERPAS mind blowing cakes ☺
