MIDSUMMER + 5 DAYS’ RUN: #135 – FRIDAY 26^thJUNE 2015 
AT: Peyret St Andre (Nr Castelnau- Magnoac) 
MEET AT: 5 pm 
HARES: Dr Dolittle and Goody Sherpa.
MEETING PLACE: Goody Sherpas house at Peyret St Andre.

MUST KNOW: After the Run there will be a BBQ at Goody Sherpas. Please bring a food contribution such as salad/dessert. Beer and meat will be provided by the Hash.

SATURDAY 9^th May 2015 at SIMORRE; Rubber Boots

Lovely sunny weather; 7 adult Hashers; 3 teenage Hashers, including 1 virgin – although probably all 3 of them are virgins. A 10 km walk with Hash Halt, following a route designed for Orchid spotting. Misdemeanours included; extreme FRBs (BOOTSIE and Virgin friend), extreme laggers (GOIN’ ‘RONG and whoever was with him at any particular time), having an immobilizing half-tattoo the day before (HASH SPLASH), not knowing what an Orchid looked like (shall remain anonymous) and not wanting a circle (shall also remain anonymous!) We departed around 8 pm with sun tanned faces and tummies full of beer and Tammys delicious cookies.

MEETING PLACE: Simorre is situated on the D12 which runs north from Boulogne-sur-Gesse /Lac de la Gimont, to Simorre, Saramon and Gimont.  As you enter Simorre (from the south) there is a small roundabout junction with the D129 and on the right hand corner there is a car park (large Plane trees with petanque court surfacing beneath).  Meet here.

 The New Year Burns Night Run

SUNDAY 25th January 2015 at Lamaguere; 

Hares : SEX POT and FART MACHINE

Lovely sunny weather, but bitterly cold. A huge crowd of Hashers, including 4 virgins and nearly all wearing something tartan – of special note were PINKYS stockings - gathered at the church and then rambled off into unchartered territory, up hill, down dale, through shiggy, past barking dogs, along country lanes – we had it all.  We were refreshed at the HashHalt with healthy clementines and a lovely southerly view and then continued on until we regrouped at the church, by which time SEX POT and SHEEPSHAGGER could be seen disappearing, all smiles and waves, in a nice warm 4x4 – a grave sin and especially irresponsible behavior by a Hare!  

But all was forgiven when we arrived back at SEX POT and FART MACHINES barn, where we were provided with lots of beer and wine and a delicious spread with a Scottish theme.  AIRHEAD sat it out once again, as is his habit these days – we wish him well.      

An all round good time.

SATURDAY 13th December 2014

Hare, Goin’ ‘Rong

Christmas spirit was abundant, lots of ladies wore tinsel and trimmings and Hashers looked fetching in their red and green festive attire.  A glorious, but chilly afternoon saw 12 Hashers and 1 Virgin set off late as usual, on a shortish run with NO HASH HALT!!!  The terrain was interestingly varied including roads, bramble infested woodland, steep scrambly bits and a bit of ditch jumping.  Hashers took all of this in their stride and those who struggled were eagerly helped by the chivalrous members of the group who, as later became evident, were using the opportunity for a bit of ‘sex on the Hash’ – FART MACHINE shamelessly managed to get a hand on every female bottom present.

The circle took place in the warmth of the Hares home, the highlight (apart from a drink of beer) being the awarding of Hash Necklaces to DR DOOLITTLE and GOIN’ ‘RONG for achieving 50 Runs each – that’s nearly a whole year of weekends!  We also raised a glass to the memory Sholu who we will miss greatly.

The afternoon was rounded off with a magnificent spread of savory tasters, mulled wine, baked potatoes and sausages, home made chocolates and a mature Christmas Cake with accompanying dessert wine – this Hash is just soooo sophisticated!

Please wear red, green or Christmassy.  Anyone caught wearing a Hash T-Shirt as an alternative, will be given a down-down.

Special Announcement

It is with great sadness that we pass on the news that Sholu Pande - Hasher and RA, Miss WHIPLASH - passed away at the end of October.  GH3 has made a donation to the School of Hope in Dhaka, Bangladesh, which Sholu was a director of during her time there.  We hope the donation will contribute to the continuation of her work and aspirations.

Hare, PISSOLES

Glorious Autumn weather shone on 8 Hashers and 2 Hashdogs, including a Virgin and AIRHEAD - who arrived in a wheelchair with his leg in a futuristic contraption just so that he could stay in the pub drinking whilst the rest of us sweated it out (of course, he got a down-down for wearing a new shoe!).  PISSOLES over explained the signs for the benefit of those who can’t distinguish shredded paper from flour and off we went. 

SHEEPSHAGGER and the Virgin were the most outrageous FRB’s who also tinkered with the markings and so SS got the toilet seat once again. Going’ ‘Rong had a down-down for rather too much knowledge of adulterated markings and everyone else got one for either pointing, not using Hash names, having a wee… – comme d’habitude.
